Academic Scholarship Program

The Academic Scholarship Program is an academic awards program sponsored the Brothers of Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147. The scholarship is awarded to two (2) worthy African-American students who are senior (12th grade) students in Prince George's County Public Schools.

Applebee's FlapJack Fundraiser

The Brothers of Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 host an annual FlapJack Fundraiser in conjunction with the local Applebee's Restaurant in Bowie in the month of February that provides a wonderful opportunity for family, friends, and the surrounding communities to fellowship and engage with the Brothers of the Lodge and also raise money for the Lodge's community outreach efforts.

Jazz @ 5

On an annual basis, the Brothers of Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 present a Sunday Evening of Jazz, featuring local jazz musicians. The Jazz @ 5 provides a wonderful opportunity for family, friends, and the surrounding communities to fellowship and engage with the Brothers of the Lodge. For attendees of the event, the Lodge also sponsors a gift raffle. Proceeds from the Jazz @ 5 are used to subsidize the Lodge's community engagement and service projects, as well as the Lodge's academic scholarship fund.

Silas A. Butler, Jr. Annual Golf Tournament

On an annual basis, the Brothers of Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 host a Golf Tournament Fund Raiser. The goal of the Annual Golf Tournament is to raise funds to be used in assisting students currently enrolled in college who are experiencing financial hardship and/or crisis, particularly for students at Bowie State University, by way of the Dorothy Holland Student Crisis Emergency Fund. The Annual Golf Tournament provides a wonderful opportunity for family, friends, and the surrounding communities to fellowship and engage with the Brothers of the Lodge, while also raising funds for a worthwhile and noble cause.
