What's New at Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147

2024 Maryland National Capital Park Police Shatter the Silence 5K Walk/Run

Shatter the Silence

On an annual basis, the Brothers of Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 parter with the Maryland National Captial Park Police to bring awareness to the ills of domestic violence by participating in the Shatter the Silence 5K/Walk Run. Affecting an estimated 10 million people annually, domestic violence is an unfortunate reality. In the U.S., one in four women and one in nine men are victims, and the stated numbers are likely even higher, as many cases are unreported.

Taking action, the Brothers of Charles H. Wesley 147 annually support this initiative in hopes of not only bringing awareness to the ills of domestic violence, but also to raise money in support of those affected as well. The 5K Walk/Run also provides a wonderful opportunity for family, friends, and the surrounding communities to fellowship and engage with the Brothers of the Lodge, while also supporting this worthwhile and noble cause.

Join us and let's put a stop to domestic violence!

Registration and participation are FREE, so please, register today!
