Fellowcraft Raising & Community Outreach 2016
On Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Ronald E. McNair Lodge No. 146, Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 raised 5 Brother Fellowcrafts to to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. As Fellowcrafts, on Saturday, April 30, 2016, these brothers also participated in a community outreach project, feeding the homeless, at Loaves and Fishes in Washington, DC.
Bowiefest 2016
On Saturday, June 4, 2016, Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 participated in Bowiefest at Allen Pond Park, a long-standing tradition in the City bringing the best of Bowie’s civic organizations, entertainers, and businesses to one place for one day.
Jazz @ 5 2016
On an annual basis, Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 presents a Sunday evening of Jazz. The Jazz @ 5 provides an opportunity for family, friends, and the surrounding communities to fellowship and engage with the Brothers of the Lodge. Proceeds are used to subsidize the Lodge's community engagment and service projects, as well as the Lodge's academic scholarship fund.
Annual Prayer Breakfast 2016
The Brothers of Charles H. Wesley Lodge No. 147 host an Annual Prayer Breakfast. The Prayer Breakfast features an invited guest speaker that is an ordained pastor/minister who enlightens attendees with an inspirational message. Several African-American Heritage Bibles are also given to attendees as gifts to event.
